Fenech & Fenech Advocates
Constantino Fenech L.P.
Tommaso Fenech LL.D.
Fenech and Fenech can be traced back to 1891 when the late Constantino Fenech L.P. started his legal practice as a solicitor. In 1915, the late Dr Tommaso Fenech LL.D. graduated and commenced to practice law continuing in the footsteps of his uncle. In 1955, Dr Joseph Fenech B.A. (Hons.), LL.D., now Senior Partner, obtained his doctorate in law and his warrant to practice at the Maltese Bar. The firm Fenech and Fenech increased the number of partners in 1981 when Dr Mark Fenech LL.D., Dr Edward Debono LL.D., and Dr Kenneth Grima LL.D. joined the firm.

In 1987, the firm was joined by Dr Tonio Fenech LL.M. (Lond.), LL.D, now Managing Partner. Dr Ann Fenech LL.M. (Lond.), LL.D. joined the firm as partner in 1992 in order to further strengthen the marine litigation department of the firm. Dr Rosanne Bonnici joined the Firm in 1998 as Tax Partner. In early 2002 Nicolai Vella Falzon LL.M. (Lond.), LL.D., was appointed Partner of the firm in the Corporate Commercial department.

The firm saw a rapid expansion in the mid eighties in the areas of international law, such as maritime law, ship and asset finance, corporate finance, investments and securities law, corporate law, merges and acquisition as well as international tax planning and the use of Maltese corporate and trust vehicles for the more rational structuring of business and financing activities in international operations.

The firm can therefore boast as being a multi disciplinary firm catering fully for the needs and exigencies of the local market as well as the international market and catering for the demands of the respective users of such services being as similar to each other as they are diverse. Furthermore, a number of service companies that form the Fenlex Group of Companies were incorporated as subsidiaries of the firm in order to ensure that the firm's clientele could benefit from even more comprehensive services.

The law firm is housed in three adjoining town houses that date back to the era of the Knights presence in Malta (late 16th to early 17th century) in the heart of Valletta, Malta's capital, a UNESCO Heritage City.
