5th November 2010
Dr. Mark Fenech will be addressing the Scandinavian Business Forum Malta on the 5th November 2010 on the occasion of its official launch.
One of the objectives of the Scandinavian Business Forum – Malta (“SBF-M”) will be to strengthen existing business networks already existing between Scandinavian and Maltese businesses and also to create new ones.
Another objective is to create more interaction between Maltese and Scandinavian businesses: the SBF-M will be a body within the Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry with which the Scandinavian businessman resident or in some way linked with Malta can identify.
Notwithstanding the commendable efforts of Malta Enterprise (“MS”) and Finance Malta (“FM”), Scandinavian businesses are still not fully aware of the benefits and advantages of investing in Malta – the intention behind the creation of SBF-M is not to duplicate the work and efforts of ME and of FM in the Scandinavian market but to complement such work and efforts. It will be a region-specific semi-autonomous body within the Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry.
The target audience will be representatives of Scandinavian businesses and companies resident or in some way linked with Malta and Maltese businesses already linked to the Scandinavian market.
Other speakers during the launch of the Scandinavian Business Forum include:
Mrs. Helga Ellul (President of The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry)
Hon Tonio Fenech (Minister of Finance, the Economy and Investment)
Mr. Ole- Kristian Baervahr (Vice President Shipping - Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA.)
Mr. Phillip Baruch (Partner at Lund Elmer Sandager law firm of Copenhagen, Denmark)
Mr. Mikkel Korntved (CEO- Loyalty Group International of Denmark)
Hon. Tonio Borg (Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Foreign Affairs)
The event will be sponsored by Fenech & Fenech Advocates.
