• Addressing the 2009 ICOM Security Workshop "Collections at Risk: Safeguarding our Cultural Heritage", organised by the International Council of Museums, Malta, and by the International Committee on Museum Security. Addressing the participants by giving a presentation on the legal implications of art theft and looting; May 2009.
• Participant in the EUROMED in Culture Regional Forum organised by Fondazzjoni Temi Zammit. Presentation given on "Culture as a key component in international relations"; May 2009.
• Member of the Panel at the Philosophy Society Meeting held at the University of Malta. Together with the rest of the Panel and special guest Dr Vivan Storlund, discussion centred on "A basic income: an investment in art and culture". The other members of the Panel were the Hon Speaker of the House of Parliament Dr Louis Galea, Mr Toni Attard from St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity and the event was chaired by Prof Edward Zammit; April 2009
