Services Directive

Malta has implemented the Services Directive 2006/123/EC by means of Act 23 of 2009. The Act establishes general provisions facilitating the exercise of freedom of establishment for services providers and the free movement of services in the internal market. The Act contemplates changes in various laws such as the Commercial Code, the accountancy profession act, the engineering profession act and the Trading Licences Act amongst others.
