New Malta-Libya Double Tax Treaty and a further Protocol to the Malta-France Double Tax Treaty

A new double tax treaty between Malta and Libya, signed on 28th December 2008, entered into force on 20th May 2010 and shall have effect with respect to income derived during the taxable years beginning or after 1st January 2010 - this treaty replaces the double tax treaty that came into force between the two states in 1973. A new protocol to the Malta-France double tax treaty, also recently published, entered into force on the 1st June 2010.
