Malta – United States Double Tax Treaty ratified by US Senate

On the 15th July 2010, the US Senate ratified the double tax treaty between Malta and the United States signed on 8 August 2008. The ratification of the treaty, which is based on the internationally recognised Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Model Tax Convention, is widely expected to make a significant contribution to the relationship between the two states.
